This Is An Appointment You Don’t Want To Miss
When was the last time that you visited our office for a hygiene examination? If it has not been within the past six months, we encourage you to call our office soon and schedule an appointment. We know that many of our patients are getting back to rescheduling missed appointments from the past year. We wanted to give a friendly reminder to make sure that your oral health stays in the forefront of your mind. Delayed dental appointments can lead to decay and dental treatments that may have been avoided with routine examinations. Read on to learn more.
Why Visit Every Six Months?
When you visit our office regularly, we remove bacteria and tartar that is remaining on the tooth’s surface. If that is not removed it can begin to eat away at the teeth, causing tooth decay and gum disease. Even if you are diligent with your oral care at home, brush thoroughly at least twice a day and use dental floss daily, there is still tartar that needs to be removed. This cleaning leaves your teeth healthy and shiny. It also helps to delay yellowing of the teeth as you age.
Aside from cleanings during your hygiene examinations, we also check for diseases that can develop in the mouth. The two most common are gum disease and oral cancer. These examinations can be completed in a few short minutes and can save you tremendous discomfort and hefty dental bills. Gum disease and oral cancer are conditions that are impossible to monitor or check on your own and can become extremely serious if not detected and treated in the early stages.
Eliminate Dental Emergencies
We have found that patients who visit our office regularly for examinations and cleanings are less likely to experience a dental emergency. Our efforts during your exams allow us to be proactive with any troubled areas of the mouth. We monitor and immediately care for any decay or problem that needs treatment.
If you have not visited our office in the past 6 months for a hygiene examination, we encourage you to call today and schedule your next appointment in our office located in Silverdale, WA. We want you to live your healthiest life possible, and one of the best ways to do that is through a healthy mouth. We look forward to seeing you soon!
