Prevention Is Key!
When was the last time you and your family members visited us for a hygiene examination and cleaning? We know that many of our patients have had a busy summer traveling and enjoying relaxing days. Now that summer is coming to an end and the fall season is upon us, there is no better time to schedule your next appointment. Delaying and postponing dental care is one of the easiest ways to experience a dental emergency. Read on to learn more.
Be Proactive, Not Reactive
Unfortunately, we know that some patients might follow the school of thought that if their teeth are not bothering them, they don’t need to visit our office. We are here to remind everyone that it is always better to be proactive with your oral health than reactive. Once you experience dental discomfort, it is often too late and treatment is often needed. When we see patients for routine oral hygiene examinations, we are able to monitor if problems in the mouth are developing. We can recommend more frequent cleanings and minor treatments to help alleviate a more serious problem from forming. Unlike other medical issues, dental issues do not heal on their own. In fact, they continue to progress until there is a dental intervention and treatment.
Now is the Perfect Time
If you are realizing it has been some time since your last hygiene examination and cleaning, there is no better time to schedule an appointment. The arrival of September means the end of the summer season and fall schedules are resuming. Now is the perfect time to schedule an appointment before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season begins.
If you are ready to schedule your needed appointment, please call our office located in Silverdale, WA. As always, if you are experiencing a dental emergency, be sure to call us as soon as possible. We also recommend that you schedule an appointment for a hygiene examination if you haven’t visited our office within the past six months or if we request to see you sooner. We look forward to seeing you soon.
